A Senior Quality Engineer with a civil Engineering background, I am from south India. I moved to Dubai after graduation to pursue my career dreams, and I was lucky enough to work on major iconic projects in the United Arab Emirates for 7 years.
I am enjoying a totally different work culture from which I am used to. I learned that RESPECT is the major key to getting things done. Even though the project is complex, team work makes it easy and enjoyable.
Im working in the HPC quality team, in a group of 15 people who seek to combine their efforts to achieve a common goal. Lifting the 1,453 tonnes of stainless steel Transfer Compartment pool into position will tick off one of our 23 in ’’23 milestones and helps pave the way for the Reactor Pressure Vessel (RPV) introduction next year. I am now looking forward for the Dome lift of Unit 1 HR building before 2023 ends.
I spend most of the weekends travelling around , exploring the pulsing cities to stunning countryside of UK diving into its beauty and history. Driving through Scottish highlands ticks off one from my bucket list. After busy work weeks I love to throw myself into nature, usually to climb mountains. The experience on the top of 2907 ft Breccon Beacons in Wales was incredible. Growing my network both inside and outside work place was the best thing I had in UK.
Understanding each others differences, cultures and traditions makes me feel like travelling around the world. I believe that Building meaningful relations are great investment for professional and personal life. And they are the ones I am going to miss the most after leaving the UK.
