France to Australia

Hi! I’m Nidale, I work as a project engineer on the Metro project in Melbourne. I love the multicultural and very inclusive atmosphere in this city! I was also a fervent supporter of the Moroccan national team at the Women’s World Cup in Australia.

Listen to Nidale's podcast!

Since joining the Melbourne Metro project, I’ve had the opportunity to complete the final stages of the tunnel work with the team, and to witness the dynamic testing of the first two trains in the tunnel. It was incredible to see the site come to life!

I like to encourage gender mix and diversity, not only in sport but also at work and in life in general. I enjoy being a speaker as a woman engineer to talk about women in the construction sector. It’s always interesting to share your experience and help get rid of stereotypes.

On a completely different note, I’m a fervent supporter of the Moroccan national team, and I had the chance to support them at the Women’s World Cup in Australia. I even appeared on Moroccan national television after meeting the Moroccan ambassador! It was totally unexpected!

We also had the opportunity to see Australia’s wildlife up close, we enjoyed feeding the Kangaroos and hugging sleepy koalas, it was an amazing experience!

As a food lover, Melbourne is a paradise with the thousands of restaurants cafes and eateries to choose from in the city center and throughout the suburbs. We had the chance to try freshly prepared food from all over the world and in several formats : modern, tradiotional, exotic,…

I loved discovering Melbournian’s unique fashion that is in line with the unpredictable city climate. Four seasons in a day brings the perfect opportunity to layering and experiment, over accessorising which gives Melbourne an unique and innovative fashion style!
