UK to Australia

Passionate about construction, I built my career at Bouygues TP through major infrastructure projects. With a solid technical background, I thrive on the challenges of delivering projects. I also enjoy cooking, travelling and exploring innovations in our industry.

One step • January 2026

Starting a new adventure in Australia has been really exciting! I recently relocated to Adelaide, South Australia, to join the Torrens to Darlington tunnel project as a Methods Engineer. I’m based at one of the two launching portals for the tunnel boring machines, in a role positioned between the site and the office—the perfect place to be involved in both the technical and operational sides of the project.

From the moment I arrived, the sunny weather was a very welcome change after three years in the UK. The work culture felt familiar, which made settling in easier, even though stepping into tunnelling after working in heavy civil was a real leap into the unknown. It’s been a truly enriching experience so far, and working towards the TBM launch gives a clear and motivating objective!

Outside of work, I’ve been blown away by Australia’s wildlife and landscapes. From kangaroos crossing the road to koalas napping in the trees, there’s always something new to discover just a short drive away. I can’t wait to keep exploring everything this country has to offer and to see where this journey will take me next.
